ARTIST STATEMENT

I’m a writer and potter living in Cloverdale, CA. Much of the content of my ceramic work comes from an appreciation of functional art playing a role in our daily lives. However, my work in clay is also inspired by my own experience as a reader and writer. Discovering the shape of a poem feels similar to discovering the shape of a ceramic form. I believe all pots are agents of change and transformation to support our own connected humanity.
