BIOGRAPHY

Clay was always a favorite in art class when I was a kid, however my real love for clay began with a wheel class at Evanston Art Center in Illinois in 1971. The following summer was spent in an eight-week class with Paul Soldner and Jim Romberg at Anderson Ranch Arts Center in Snowmass Village. Numerous workshops were attended at the ranch in following summers.

Moving to Carbondale in 1998 I became involved with the Carbondale Clay Center taking lots of workshops, serving on the board of Directors and eventually renting a studio space.

In 2016 I moved to Bozeman, Montana. I joined the Emerson Art Center to take clay classes so that I could continue working in clay. Shortly after Hustle and Throw Studio opened, I was invited to share their studio space. I do most of my work on my wheel at home in my garage using the Hustle studio for glazing and firing. There is now a nice gallery space called Inner Alchemy in the front of the studio where I sell my work.
